Threats- Encroachments and uncontrolled land expansion. - Building of embankments along Burhi Gandak river, blocking water entry. - Water management activities like drainage, abstraction, damming, and canalization.
PotentialWith governmental restoration initiatives, it can reclaim its past grandeur and boost tourism and local employment.
